I like to record my trips, on the bike, or in the mountains. 

I use various things in my setup. 

Go Pro 10 for other uses: handheld, in the mountains, or as first-person cam on the bike.

I use or have installed the following softare.

iMovie - because it's free and fits my purpose for now. 

VLC Media Player - to play various video formats that standard Mac doesn't (e.g., Innovv TS format). 

Handbrake - for converting.
